The Founding of the World...

Hebrews 4:3 For we who have exercised faith do enter into the rest, just as he has said: "So I swore in my anger, 'They shall not enter into my rest,'” although his works were finished from the founding of the world.

The purpose of this essay is to find the truth from the scriptures. Through scriptural evidence, and sound reasoning, the correct time as to when the “founding of the world” took place will be established.  The current understanding by Jehovahs Witnesses of this event is not harmonious with what the scriptures teach, and should be adjusted in order to allow truth to beget more truth…

The Founding...

First off, let’s start with the definition of founding or to found (verb) something:
Founding or to found:  To institute or to establish or set up, especially with provision for continuing existence; such as founding a university.
There are several scriptures in the bible that refer to the founding of the world as a reference in time.  Matthew, Luke, Paul, Peter, John, and Jesus all referenced the founding of the world in several scriptures throughout the Greek text.   It is therefore vital that we have a clear understanding of when the founding occurred since many doctrinal teachings surround these scriptures.  In fact, as you will see after reading this, the significance of attaching the proper time frame to the founding brings new understanding to Jehovah’s purpose, and allows us to break free from the error that has been attached to the founding for so long.

Katabolēs (καταβολῆς)
The word for "founding" or “foundation” used in the Greek text of the bible is katabolēs (καταβολῆς).  It is a form of the Greek word katabole', which in the root form literally means "a throwing down”.  The word katabolēs was used 10 times in the Greek scriptures, and in each of these occurrences it was referring to the “founding”, or foundation of the world.  Since there can be only one “founding of the world” these scriptures cited below are all referring to the same event in time.

Mt 13:35 “… that there might be fulfilled what was spoken through the prophet who said: “I will open my mouth with illustrations, I will publish things hidden since the founding.””
Mt 25:34 ““Then the king will say to those on his right, ‘Come, YOU who have been blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for YOU from the founding of the world.”
Lu 11:50-51 “…so that the blood of all the prophets spilled from the founding of the world may be required from this generation, 51 from the blood of Abel down to the blood of Zechariah, who was slain between the altar and the house.’ Yes, I tell YOU, it will be required from this generation”
John 17:24 “…Father, as to what you have given me, I wish that, where I am, they also may be with me, in order to behold my glory that you have given me, because you loved me before the founding of the world.”
Eph 1:4 “…just as he chose us in union with him before the founding of the world, that we should be holy and without blemish before him in love”
Heb 4:3 “…For we who have exercised faith do enter into the rest, just as he has said: “So I swore in my anger, ‘They shall not enter into my rest,’” although his works were finished from the founding of the world.”
Heb 9:26 “. . .Otherwise, he would have to suffer often from the founding of the world. But now he has manifested himself once for all time at the conclusion of the systems of things to put sin away through the sacrifice of himself.. . .”
1Pe 1:20 “…True, he was foreknown before the founding of the world, but he was made manifest at the end of the times for the sake of YOU”
Re 13:8 “And all those who dwell on the earth will worship it; the name of not one of them stands written in the scroll of life of the Lamb who was slaughtered, from the founding of the world.
Re 17:8 “…The wild beast that you saw was, but is not, and yet is about to ascend out of the abyss, and it is to go off into destruction. And when they see how the wild beast was, but is not, and yet will be present, those who dwell on the earth will wonder admiringly, but their names have not been written upon the scroll of life from the founding of the world.”

Katabolēn (καταβολὴν)
Another scripture Heb 11:11, uses the Greek word katabolēn (καταβολὴν) in it.  It also is a form of the root word Katabole’.  As mentioned before Katabole’ literally means “a throwing down”, thus the scripture refers to a throwing down of seed, as in human seed, from Abraham to Sarah, and therefore “to conceive” is rendered in the scripture.
Hebrews 11:11 By faith, even Sarah herself received power to conceive, and she bore a child when she was past age, since she counted him faithful who had promised.
Understand that although the two words, Katabolen & Kataboles use the same root word Katabole’, they are different words conveying two different meanings.

By establishing the scriptures that the current understanding is based on, of when the founding took place, it will be easier to identify with what is taught in the Insight books.  Several different references for when the founding took place are listed in the Insight Books.

▬▬▬▬ A Con-founding Dilemna…  Just when exactly was the Founding?  ▬▬▬▬▬

So...when was the Founding of the World?

When researching the publications for when the founding occurred, it is quite difficult to pinpoint a time from the Insight Books as there are three different times that are alluded to.  Although the Insight books do explain the current understanding, the answers are ambiguous enough that a solid answer cannot be ascertained by them.  Here is what the Insight books had to say.  Any bolding or italicizing of text is mine and will be discussed after.

So lets start with the most logical place in the Insight Books to find out when the founding took place...the foundation.

--
Insight Book-1 p. 867 – FOUNDATION
The laying of the foundations of the earth is not to be confused with "the founding [Gr., ka•ta•bo•les´] of the world." From Jesus' words at Luke 11:48-51, it is evident that Abel lived at the founding of the world which has reference to mankind. The planet Earth's foundations had long previously been laid.—See ABEL No. 1; WORLD.
 --

The definition references Luke, and then states that it is evident that Abel lived “at” the founding of the world.    However, when we read the scripture, it is almost as if the society is tying the founding of the world to the blood, or death, of Abel.  Not sure how this shows that Abel lived "at" the founding.  As was mentioned prior, the answer seems to be ambiguous at best regarding a specific time for the founding.

Lu 11:50-51 “…so that the blood of all the prophets spilled from the founding of the world may be required from this generation, 51 from the blood of Abel down to the blood of Zechariah, who was slain between the altar and the house.’ Yes, I tell YOU, it will be required from this generation”
In the above definition for foundation we are told to reference ABEL in the Insight books.  Perhaps this will give us a clearer picture as to when the founding took place.  Referring to ABEL in the Insight books we find this:

---
Insight Book-1 p. 15 - ABEL
Jesus shows Abel to have been the first martyr and object of religious persecution waged by his intolerant brother Cain.  In doing so, Jesus speaks of Abel as living at "the founding of the world." (Lu 11:48-51)
The Greek word for "world" is ko´smos and in this text refers to the world of mankind. The term "founding" is a rendering of the Greek katabole´ and literally means "throwing down [of seed]." (Heb 11:11, Int) By the expression "the founding of the world," Jesus manifestly referred to the birth of children to Adam and Eve, thereby producing a world of mankind. Paul includes Abel among the "cloud of witnesses" of pre-Christian times.—Heb 11:4; 12:1.
---

We are now told that Jesus himself tells us when the founding occurred.  Interestingly, we are given two different answers.

The first answer is given in the first part of the definition under ABEL.  In it we are told that Jesus speaks of Abel as living at "the founding of the world."  This ties in again with the answer we were given under FOUNDATION which references the scriptures in Luke, particularly Luke 11:50-51.

The second answer as to when the founding occurred is given in the second paragraph. Apparently the expression "the founding of the world" was Jesus manifestly referring to the birth of children to Adam and Eve.  In particular it was Abel who at his birth became the first who would be the beginning of the world of mankind.

Notice how the scripture at Heb 11:11 was used to come to this conclusion in the paragraph under ABEL.  Even though the scripture offers zero evidence as to when the founding took place, this is the scripture used to support the current understanding.

We now have, in these two answers from the Insight books, two different references as to when the founding occurred.  One is at the death of Abel, and interestingly one is at his birth.  The next answer from Insight Book Vol. 2 under WORLD will give us the third reference as to when the “founding of the world” took place.  Take note that the 1st paragraph, and the last paragraph of the Insights answer actually give two different answers as to when the founding took place.
Insight Book-2 p. 1207 - WORLD
"The founding of the world." This clear connection of ko´smos with the world of mankind also aids one in understanding what is meant by "the founding of the world," as referred to in a number of texts. These texts speak of certain things as taking place 'from the founding of the world.' These include the 'shedding of the blood of the prophets' from the time of Abel onward, a 'kingdom prepared,' and 'names being written on the scroll of life.' (Lu 11:50, 51; Mt 25:34; Re 13:8; 17:8; compare Mt 13:35; Heb 9:26.) Such things relate to human life and activity, and hence "the founding of the world" must relate to the beginning of mankind, not of the inanimate creation or the animal creation. Hebrews 4:3 shows that God's creative works were, not started, but "finished from the founding of the world.  Since Eve was evidently the last of Jehovah's earthly creative works, the world's founding could not precede her
As shown under ABEL (No. 1) and FOREKNOWLEDGE, FOREORDINATION (Foreordination of the Messiah), the Greek term (ka•ta•bo•le´) for "founding" can refer to the conceiving of seed in human conception. Ka•ta•bo•le´ literally means "a throwing down [of seed]" and at Hebrews 11:11 may be rendered "conceive" (RS, NW). Its use there evidently refers to Abraham's 'throwing down' human seed for the begetting of a son and Sarah's receiving that seed so as to be fertilized.
Therefore "the founding of the world" need not be taken to mean the beginning of the creation of the material universe, nor does the expression "before the founding of the world" (Joh 17:5, 24; Eph 1:4; 1Pe 1:20) refer to a point of time prior to the creation of the material universe. Rather, these expressions evidently relate to the time when the human race was 'founded' through the first human pair, Adam and Eve, who, outside of Eden, began to conceive seed that could benefit from God's provisions for deliverance from inherited sin.—Ge 3:20-24; 4:1, 2.

Again, the Insight book parallels “the founding of the world” with the shedding of the blood of the prophets, beginning with Abel (Luke 11:50, 51).  For some reason, the use of this scripture to justify that Abel lived “at” the founding of the world is quite important, for it has been used in all three definitions from the Insight books, and yet the scriptures used offer no evidence as to when the founding occurred at all.

The Insight book under WORLD now tells us the scriptures that use the expression “before the founding of the world” is referring to the human race that was born through Adam & Eve.  Apparently when Eve began to conceive seed that could benefit from Gods provision, this was “the founding of the world” that is mentioned in the scriptures.

So we now have a total of three times that state when the founding of the world occurred, (1) conception of Abel (2) birth of Abel (3) Death of Abel.  Since the Insight Books repeatedly claim that Abel lived “at” the founding of the world, these three time references would certainly cover that time period.    This would mean of course that the founding occurred over many years, from the very beginning of Abel's conception to the end.  Interestingly, the Insight book states that there is no way to know, but Abel may have lived to 100 years of age before his martyrdom.  Does it take that long to found the world?

Also of interest, in the first paragraph above under WORLD the Insight Book acknowledges Hebrews 4:3 which states that Jehovah's creative works were “finished from the founding of the world”, and yet even though this scripture is referenced, the information contained within the scripture is completely ignored so that Hebrews 11:11(which mentions nothing of the founding) can be used to justify the current understanding.  In essence, the very scripture that tells us WHEN the founding of the world occurred is merely glanced at, and then dismissed, because it would conflict with the current understanding.

When Jesus and the apostles mentioned the "founding of the world", do you think it was really meant to be so hard to understand?  Were they talking about three different times during Abels life, and if so, which one.  Is it really that hard?  The simple answer to that is no it is not.

So WHEN was the founding…???

▬▬▬▬▬ The Solid Foundation ▬▬▬▬▬

"The truth will never contradict itself…for error is the contradiction of Truth."

The answer as to when the founding took place is much simpler than the Insight books make it out to be.  However, in order to find the truth on the matter we must first fix something.

By placing the founding of the world around Abel, there is now a contradiction between what the society teaches and what the bible teaches.  How so?  Because when we compare Hebrews 4:3 to our current understanding, the two say the exact opposite of one another.
Hebrews 4:3 tells us, that the founding occurred when Jehovahs works were finished, before the sin.  However, our current understanding places the founding “at” Abel, after the sin.

Therefore since the truth cannot contradict itself, either the societies current understanding has an error, or Hebrews 4:3 is wrong.

Obviously the bible isn’t wrong, so perhaps we need to adjust, or fix, our understanding.  So let’s take a different approach than the Insight book did, and accept Hebrews 4:3 for exactly what it says, and let the bible interpret itself.  In doing so it's quite amazing how clear the answer becomes.
Hebrews 4:3   For we who have exercised faith do enter into the rest, just as he has said: "So I swore in my anger, 'They shall not enter into my rest,'” although his works were finished from the founding of the world.
Can it really be that simple?  This scripture actually tells us when the world was founded, and by allowing the bible to interpret itself, we now have the answer.  No need to come to three different conclusions, no ambiguity, and straight to the point.

Since Eve was the completion, or finish, of Gods creative works at the end of the sixth day, the scriptures show that the founding occurred right after her creation.  Jehovah completed his works, and thus the founding of the world took place.  It is quite possible that the founding was her marriage to Adam.    Although we can't know the precise moment, it would seem that once Adam saw Eve, Jehovah was able to step back and rest, for his work was now complete.

Genesis 2:1-3 provides us with the event that coincides with that line of reasoning.  Although the scriptures in Genesis don’t use the words “founding of the world”, it becomes quite clear, after comparing with Hebrews 4:3, that this is indeed the founding of the world.
Genesis 2:1-3  " . . .Thus the heavens and the earth and all their army came to their completion. 2 And by the seventh day God came to the completion of his work that he had made, and he proceeded to rest on the seventh day from all his work that he had made. 3 And God proceeded to bless the seventh day and make it sacred, because on it he has been resting from all his work that God has created for the purpose of making. . .
Since Jehovah's works were finished from the founding of the world, we now know that once his works were completed the world was founded.  It really is that simple.  When we compare Genesis and Hebrews note the similarities in Jehovah resting, and the finishing or completing of his works.  Therefore based on solid reasoning from the scriptures we can see that the founding occurred before the sin in the Garden of Eden took place.

When we accept the bible for what it says, instead of applying our own view to a scripture, as has been done with Hebrews 11:11, the verse at Hebrews 4:3 is harmonious with other scriptures that lend support just as Genesis does.  Since there can be only one founding, this would mean that any scriptures that speak about the “founding of the world” are also referencing this moment in time as well, which is before the sin occurred.

To support the current understanding of the witnesses the Insight book uses Heb 11:11 which doesn’t offer any mention of when the founding actually took place.  Ask yourself, why would Jehovah tell us when the founding occurred at Heb 4:3, and then just seven chapters later contradict himself with a scripture that mentions nothing about the founding?  That is simply not sound reasoning, and the results can be seen in the three different answers we get from the Insight books.

We can also reason that Jehovah would not wait to found the world until after the sin took place which the current understanding forces us to accept.  The founding was completely irrelevant to the sin that took place.  Ask yourself, had Adam & Eve not sinned, when would the founding have been?  Of course the answer is the same whether they sinned or not.  The founding occurred when Jehovah was finished with his works.

If we are to believe the current understanding by the society then Hebrews 4:3 is a pointless scripture that cannot be used to identify this momentous event.  In fact, how can any bible student reason on the fact that the society completely invalidates the actual founding, and replaces it with their own exegesis.

Interpretive license cannot be used to twist a scripture around so that it fits a viewpoint.  That is not how we find the truth.  It creates a roadblock to finding other truths that surround the scripture, which in this case is Hebrews 4:3, from ever fully manifesting or coming to light.

If a contradiction is found, then there is an error somewhere in the interpretation of the scriptures.  Shouldn’t we go back and fix it?  All one needs to do is merely use the process of elimination to find out at what point this contradiction occurred in the reasoning process, and then the truth will flow because then scripture will harmonize with scripture, just like it is supposed to.

So although Hebrews 11:11 was the scripture used to support our current understanding, Ephesians 1:4 is one of the underlying reasons why the Insight book interpreted Hebrews 11:11 in such a way.  Because the society was looking at the founding from the wrong perspective, many of the scriptures associated with it have also been hidden from their true meaning.

To begin, there are several scriptures that show the anointed were foreordained or chosen BEFORE the founding of the world.  One of them is found at Ephesians 1:4:
Eph 1:4 “…just as he chose us in union with him before the founding of the world, that we should be holy and without blemish before him in love”
According to this scripture in Ephesians, the anointed were chosen before the founding of the world.  It has been shown from scripture that the founding occurred upon the completion of Jehovahs works (Heb 4:3, Gen 2:1-3), which was before the sin.

Now wait a minute.  If Jehovah chose the anointed class before the sin that would mean that Jehovah knew of the sin before it happened.  We know that Jehovah cannot look into a person’s future which would nullify the free will given them.  We also know that God would not have put Adam & Eve into a position where he knew they would fail.  That would essentially mean that this was Jehovahs fault for putting Adam & Eve into a lose-lose situation.

Part 2 of this essay will discuss the new reasoning points that harmonize completely with the scriptures, and the true founding of the world, as well as, how Jehovah was able to foreordain, or chose the anointed class, before the sin occurred.  The reason we have not seen these points is because the current understanding has been led off course by the misapplication of Hebrews 11:11.

Part 2
▬▬▬▬▬ Building on the Solid Foundation ▬▬▬▬▬
Lu 14:28 “For example, who of YOU that wants to build a tower does not first sit down and calculate the expense, to see if he has enough to complete it?”

In part one of this essay, the true understanding on the founding of the world was clearly shown from the scriptures.  Simple reasoning  allowed us to now see that the founding took place before the sin in the Garden of Eden(Gen 2:1-3, Heb 4:3), even though the current understanding by the society says otherwise.  In doing so, we have opened up the possibilities to let truth beget more truth.
If we are to come to an understanding of truths within the scriptures, we must first establish a foundation on which we can build.  A foundation of truth.  In doing so, not only will we understand more clearly what is being taught, but new truths will come to light.  Now that we have a clear understanding of when the "founding of the world" took place, we can now begin to build on that truth.

To see how this new understanding of when the founding of the world took place ties in with other scriptures, we will look to other verses showing that Gods purpose for his creation was formed prior to the sin as well.

Entailed in Jehovah's purpose he foreordained a specific group, or class of people, to be chosen from among mankind throughout the earth.  These chosen ones are all a part of the seed spoken of at Gen 3:15, and will number 144,000 upon the completion of this aspect of Gods purpose.

The following scriptures not only show this to be part of Gods purpose, but that this was foreordained, or destined to happen, before the beginning of time which began with the creation of Jesus Christ. (Pr 8:22-23)
Ro 8:28Now we know that God makes all his works cooperate together for the good of those who love God, those who are the ones called according to his purpose; 29 because those whom he gave his first recognition he also foreordained to be patterned after the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. 30 Moreover, those whom he foreordained are the ones he also called; and those whom he called are the ones he also declared to be righteous. Finally those whom he declared righteous are the ones he also glorified.”"

Eph 1:8-11 . . .This he caused to abound toward us in all wisdom and good sense, 9 in that he made known to us the sacred secret of his will. It is according to his good pleasure which he purposed in himself 10 for an administration at the full limit of the appointed times, namely, to gather all things together again in the Christ, the things in the heavens and the things on the earth. [Yes,] in him, 11 in union with whom we were also assigned as heirs, in that we were foreordained according to the purpose of him who operates all things according to the way his will counsels,

2Ti 1:9 “He saved us and called us with a holy calling, not by reason of our works, but by reason of his own purpose and undeserved kindness. This was given us in connection with Christ Jesus before times long lasting,”[before beginning of time.  NIV]
2Thes 2:14 "To this very destiny he called YOU through the good news we declare, for the purpose of acquiring the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ."
Eph 3:8-11 “. . .To me, a man less than the least of all holy ones, this undeserved kindness was given, that I should declare to the nations the good news about the unfathomable riches of the Christ 9 and should make men see how the sacred secret is administered which has from the indefinite past been hidden in God, who created all things. 10 [This was] to the end that now to the governments and the authorities in the heavenly places there might be made known through the congregation the greatly diversified wisdom of God, 11 according to the eternal purpose that he formed in connection with the Christ, Jesus our Lord,”
Eph 2:10 “. . .For we are a product of his work and were created in union with Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared in advance for us to walk in them.”
1Co 2:7 . . .But we speak God’s wisdom in a sacred secret, the hidden wisdom, which God foreordained before the systems of things for our glory.
1Pe 1:1-2 “. . .Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the temporary residents scattered about in Pon´tus, Ga·la´ti·a, Cap·pa·do´ci·a, Asia, and Bi·thyn´i·a, to the ones chosen 2 according to the foreknowledge of God the Father..."
Tit 1:1-2 ". . .Paul, a slave of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ according to the faith of God’s chosen ones and the accurate knowledge of the truth which accords with godly devotion 2 upon the basis of a hope of the everlasting life which God, who cannot lie, promised before times long lasting,"  [before the beginning of time, NIV]

There can be no mistake that the anointed were part of Jehovahs purpose BEFORE the world began.

But how is this possible? How could Jehovah choose a class of people before the sin, if he didn’t know that Adam & Eve were going to sin in the first place?

To understand, we must go back in time, to before time had even begun….to time indefinite.

Before Jesus existed as the firstborn, Jehovah simply was, and time did not exist. We cannot comprehend time eternal or indefinite, but Jehovah tells us he has always been.  Before Jehovah began his creative works, he had a purpose in mind that he would accomplish, and Jesus was the beginning of achieving this purpose.(Pr 8:22-23)

For the sake of this discussion, let’s say Jehovah is working towards his purpose which we will call point Z. Obviously we don’t know if there is a final resting point, but it will be used simply to make a point. And the beginning of creation by Jehovah will be point A, the start, and the creation of Jesus Christ. (Pr 8:22,23)

Now just as a builder calculates his cost before building, Jehovah also calculated his. Before he began creating at point A, he calculated his expense, and prepared for any contingency that might prevent him from reaching point Z (Luke 14:28). The only thing that could prevent Jehovah from achieving his purpose was the wrong use of free will. As long as his creation used it’s free will, and lived according to the requirements set by Jehovah, his purpose would be accomplished. However, if the creation used its free will for its own interests, set apart from Jehovahs purpose, it would, in effect, take Jehovahs purpose off course from completion, and sin and imperfection would come to exist.

Because Jehovah IS the master builder, he knew that by giving free will sin would eventually happen.  It was inevitable, for the very meaning of free will must include BOTH choices.  For example, if sin never occurred, then how could it be proven, or established that free will did indeed exist?  If only the right choice had ever been made, it could be reasoned that creation did not have the ability to make a wrong choice.   Once sin occurred, the true knowledge of good and bad, or free will, was now a proven established truth.  This reasoning is covered more fully in the essay "The Knowledge of Good and Bad".

Because of this foreknowledge(1 Pet 1:2) that sin would eventually occur, Jehovah was able to create in advance the solution before it ever happened.  Just as a master builder foresees the problem before it occurs, Jehovah created in his purpose the solution to the sin beforehand.

The solution would come to be known as...the Sacred Secret.

The solution, consisting of Jesus Christ (1 Tim 3:16), and 144,000 co-rulers(Rev 5:9-10; 14:1-4) will eventually set an eternal precedent that will bring under subjection the only thing that could prevent Jehovah's purpose from being accomplished, sin.  In doing so, we can be confident that we will never again have to experience the effects of sin, and the consequences mankind has had to face.

The Watchtowers current understanding of Jehovah instantly thinking up the provision instituted at Gen 3:15 after Adam & Eve sinned does not concur with the evidence shown in this essay.  The evidence tells us that  Jehovah didn’t need to instantly create a solution, he already had one.  His purpose was secured from the beginning at point A, and was guaranteed to accomplish all that he had set out to do.(Isa 55:11)

--------------
Ps 92:4-6 ". . .For you have made me rejoice, O Jehovah, because of your activity; Because of the works of your hands I cry out joyfully.  5 How great your works are, O Jehovah! Very deep your thoughts are.  6 No unreasoning man himself can know [them], And no one stupid can understand this.. . . "
Mr 4:21-23". . .And he went on to say to them: “A lamp is not brought to be put under a measuring basket or under a bed, is it? It is brought to be put upon a lampstand, is it not? 22 For there is nothing hidden except for the purpose of being exposed; nothing has become carefully concealed but for the purpose of coming into the open. 23 Whoever has ears to listen, let him listen.” "

Under the Watchtowers current understanding, the solution to the sin was created, and implemented, at Genesis 3:15.  But is that sound reasoning?  The society got it half right, in that Gen 3:15 was the implementation of the Sacred Secret as the solution to sin, but was it instantly created then as well?

This would mean of course that the solution, the sacred secret, was created after the sin, during Jehovah's sacred day of rest.  Essentially, in doing so, the society is insinuating that Jehovah's purpose was not somehow complete when he decided to rest on the seventh day.

However, regarding Jehovahs purpose for creation, we can see that it was complete from the beginning of creation onward.
(Ec 3:14) 14 I have come to know that everything that the [true] God makes, it will prove to be to time indefinite. To it there is nothing to add and from it there is nothing to subtract; but the [true] God himself has made it, that people may be afraid on account of him.
Also, if we are to maintain the Watchtowers current understanding, then all the verses (Ro 8:28-30, Eph 1:8-11, 2Ti 1:9, 2 Thes 13:14, Eph 3:8-11, Eph 2:10, 1Co 2:7, 1 Pet 1:1-2, Tit 1:1-2) can never clearly come to light because the society has chosen to ignore one simple scripture at Heb 4:3 .  In doing so we can see the staggering effects of what this does to fully understanding the wisdom of Jehovah, and seeing the light of truth which he provides us through Jesus Christ.  Once truth is applied to the societies reasoning, their current understanding quickly crumbles because of the poor foundation it was established on.

We must also carefully consider this next scripture when using the societies reasoning.
Eph 2:10 “. . .For we are a product of his work and were created in union with Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared in advance for us to walk in them.”
Comparing the two scriptures Ec 3:14 and Eph 2:10, we can see that Jehovahs work were complete, with nothing to add.  Once sin manifested itself, the products of his work(annointed, sacred secret) were implemented into being.  And this was all prepared for in advance, just as we are told in Ephesians.

There is no doubt that Jehovah will open the hearts and minds of those whom he calls, and will open up to us more clearly the truths contained within the bible.  By building on the solid foundation we can be assured that "...their hearts may be comforted, that they may be harmoniously joined together in love and with a view to all the riches of the full assurance of [their] understanding, with a view to an accurate knowledge of the sacred secret of God, namely, Christ. 3 Carefully concealed in him are all the treasures of wisdom and of knowledge.. . .(Col 2:2-3)

(Col 1:24-29) . . .I am now rejoicing in my sufferings for YOU, and I, in my turn, am filling up what is lacking of the tribulations of the Christ in my flesh on behalf of his body, which is the congregation. 25 I became a minister of this [congregation] in accordance with the stewardship from God which was given me in YOUR interest to preach the word of God fully, 26 the sacred secret that was hidden from the past systems of things and from the past generations. But now it has been made manifest to his holy ones, 27 to whom God has been pleased to make known what are the glorious riches of this sacred secret among the nations. It is Christ in union with YOU, the hope of [his] glory. 28 He is the one we are publicizing, admonishing every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man complete in union with Christ. 29 To this end I am indeed working hard, exerting myself in accordance with the operation of him and which is at work in me with power.
